Enjoying the ability to work for herself, as well as serve her community, her practice focuses on human information processing. Breaking into the field in 1984 as a researcher and teaching assistant at Arizona State University in Tempe, she spent five years at the school before becoming an independent researcher for nearly a decade, until she formed her private practice in 1997.
Born in South Africa, Dr. Wolf came to the United States in 1977, just one year after completing her Master of Fine Arts at the University of Witwatersrand. Accepted to the University of Rochester upon entering the states, she later completed a Master's degree in 1983, followed by a PhD and postgraduate studies at Arizona State University.
Dr. Wolf is a licensed psychologist through the state of Arizona, a diplomate, and a certified school psychologist by the American Board of Professional Psychology. In addition to maintaining her full-time career in psychology, she lectures in the field, contributes articles to professional journals, and has been a consultant for Human Information Processing since 1997. She is also active as a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Psychological Society, the National Association of School Psychologists, the Western Psychological Association, and the Arizona Psychological Association. She remains active with her fraternity, Phi Kappa Phi, as well.
In 1992, Dr. Wolf was the recipient of a Certificate of Appreciation by the Paradise Valley Police Department. She has also been named to a number of Who's Who publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and Who's Who of American Women. Married to Raymond Frank Shamos, Dr. Wolf and her husband have four children. When she isn't busy working or participating in work-related functions, she enjoys time well spent with family. She also loves to swim, hike, draw, and paint.
