A respected and long-standing figure in her industry, Ms. Krois most recently served as the supervising director for Homemaker Home Health Care, G.H.I. Inc., before devoting her career solely to art; she works in water colors, oil and fiber. In the near three decades afterwards, Ms. Krois has had her art featured in galleries around the United States, including the Water Miller Museum, the Clayton-Liberatore Gallery, the Abigail Adams Smith Museum, and more.
Ms. Krios applied and was selected to participate in free art instruction at the Boston Museum of Art at 11 years of age. Upon graduation, she was awarded Honors in art. She worked her way through college and graduate school. Between her sophomore and junior year she went to Alaska with friends seeking to earn money for the next year and for adventure driving on the unpaved ALKAN highway. She attended social work graduate school and through all the years in that profession she continued to painting and periodically took lessons.
In addition to her status as a Lifetime Achiever, Ms. Krois has been previously recognized as "Best of Show" by the Aullwood Audubon Center, and has received awards from the Brookhaven Arts and Humanities Council, the East End Arts Council, the Southampton Artists Association and the Goodman Gallery.
