His dedication to God has spanned the entirety of his life. At the start of his career, he worked as an assistant minister for E. Whittier United Presbyterian Church. Over the years, he served in the roles of pastor, interim pastor, assistant professor of business and religion, director, and associate pastor for such institutions as Tarko College, First Presbyterian Church in Norwalk Ohio, Case Western Reserve University, and Fairmount Presbyterian Church.
A graduate of Muskingum University, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, the University of Pittsburgh, and Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Brewer holds a Bachelor of Arts in music, a Master of Divinity, a Master of Theology, a Master of Public Administration, as well as doctoral studies in political science at Case Western Reserve University. An affiliate of the Cleveland Art Museum, he has lent his beautiful bass - baritone voice to The A Cappella Choir at Muskingum University and performed the bass solos in the University Annual Choral Society and orchestra performance of Handl's Messiah. In addition to these accomplishments, he has been awarded many times for his work in the field, including his features in the 62nd, 63rd and 66th editions of Who's Who in America.
