Ms. Whitener thrives as a motivational speaker and an artist.
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, August 10, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to name Carolyn Raye Whitener a Lifetime Achiever. An accomplished listee, Ms. Whitener celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Drawing on more than more than five decades of professional excellence, Ms. Whitener continues to thrive both as a motivational speaker and an artist. She devotes much of her time to visiting university and college classrooms and speaking on equal rights. She has extensive personal experience on the subject, as she was one of the plaintiffs in a case involving Ruth Bader Ginsburg, then a representative from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), more than 40 years ago. The case established a middle tier for gender-based discrimination, and set a precedent for future court proceedings. Additionally, Ms. Whitener has served as an advisory member of the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women since 2000.
When Ms. Whitener isn't educating others, she is sharing her artistic pursuits with the world. She has owned Clynn's Designs since 1969, and she has been a commercial design consultant for one- and two-dimensional rendered drawings for Rynn's Lawncare & Landscaping since 1997. Her preferred mediums are watercolor and sculpture.
Over the course of her illustrious career, Ms. Whitener has been recognized many times for her success. In addition to her status as a Lifetime Achiever, she was featured in numerous editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, and Who's Who of American Women. Furthermore, Ms. Whitener was proud to be inducted into both the Chickasha High School Students Hall of Fame and the Oklahoma Woman Hall of Fame in 2009, and to receive the Governor Commendation Award from Governor Frank Keating and the State of Oklahoma Citation Award from Representative Richard Phillips and Senator Mike Fair in 2001. In 1997, she was acknowledged by the League of Women Voters as the One Person Who Made a Difference.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Carolyn Raye Whitener has been featured on the Marquis Who's Who Lifetime Achievers website.
