After starting in the Navy, he took on a number of federal executive roles, including head of the weapons general component division for the Quality Evaluation Laboratory, director of weapons evaluation and engineering division for the Naval Ordinance Systems Command, director of the office of industrial analysis for the Federal Energy Administration, and deputy assistant secretary for the state and local assistance program for the Department of Energy. Additionally, Dr. Chiogioji retired as a Rear Admiral in the U.S. Navy.
A graduate of Purdue University, the University of Hawaii, and George Washington University, Dr. Chiogioji holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, an MBA, and a Doctor of Business Administration. His professional affiliations include the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Naval Reserve Association, the Association for Science, Technology and Innovation, and the Armed Forces Management Association. Throughout his career, he has lent his expertise to "Industrial Energy Conservation" and "Energy Conservation in Commercial and Residential Buildings," which were authored in 1979 and 1982 respectively, and published by Marcel Dekker.
Beyond his status as a leader in his vocation, Dr. Chiogioji has been noted many times for his work in the field. In addition to earning a Navy Legion of Merit, Dr. Chiogioji has been featured in four editions each of Who's Who in Finance and Business and Who's Who in American Politics, eight editions of Who's Who in Science and Engineering, 20 editions of Who's Who in the East, 24 editions of Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who in America.
