She established herself as a reputable member of the art world as an art director, writer, creative director and filmmaker. She began her career in the industry as a young art director at Lintas Worldwide Advertising in New York in 1987 and made her mark on Madison Avenue winning a Cannes Lion for her work on Coca Cola, one of the youngest people in the industry to win such an honor. Ms. Pagano-Parente went on to work at many of New York City's top agencies, including Wells Rich Greene, NW Ayer & Partners, Grey Advertising, among others, and served as a Senior Vice President, Creative Group Head at D'Arcy Worldwide Advertising. Over the course of her career, she developed TV and print campaigns for brands such as Coca-Cola, Proctor & Gamble, IBM, AT&T, Continental Airlines, Barbados Tourism, Liberty Mutual and many more. Ms. Pagano-Parente has also made an impression in art education as an instructor of advertising at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
She received numerous awards and commendations for her advertising work, including: a Clio, a Cannes Lion, a New York Festival Medal, London's International Advertising Award, an Addy, two Effie Awards and a Golden Trailer Award.
Ms. Pagano-Parente also developed creative works ranging from literature to film. She is the author of two novels, Road to Jude and Grace of the Clouds and a children's book The Magic Paint Box. She also worked on a number of short films and screenplays, including: Two Shoes, Wishful Thinking, Suit for Jesus, Return of the Masterminds, Mini Happy Returns, To Be Frank, among others.
In 2008, she co-founded Branding Shorts (www.brandingshorts.com) with her husband Tony Parente, a former marketing executive. Branding Short is an award-winning production company that creates short, branded videos for business. Branding Shorts is winner of 22 industry awards, including eight Telly Awards, five Aegis Awards, three Hermes Awards, two Marcom Awards, an Ava, EMPixx, Videographer and Davey Award.
Ms. Pagano-Parente and her Branding Shorts co-founding partner, Mr. Parente also hold a patent for a video editing invention, Branding Shorts Express, which is part of their production services.
Daughter of Domenico and the late Mary Pagano, Ms. Pagano-Parente comes from a family of writers and artists who supported her creative pursuits and helped her realize her artistic inclinations. She is married to Anthony Jude Parente. They have one son and a rescue pup.
