Dr. Oh currently serves as a professor and center director of the Mixed Reality Convergence Research Center at Daegu University. At the start of his career, he joined GIST as a research assistant. Subsequently, he became visiting researcher in Germany, a visiting scholar in the UK, and a researcher at KAIST. He worked as a director of the Enterprise Supporting Office of the LINC project group at Daegu University. He holds a BS from Kyung-pook National University, and a MS and PhD from GIST.
Since starting in the field, he has had the privilege of working on a variety of research projects on topics such as the development of cognitive expert advisor platform based on quantified self technology, the development of context-aware embedded middleware for recognizing mobile user's activity, the development of context-aware technology for personalized services, and technologies for unifying and fusing context.
Dr. Oh has participated in a number of international conferences in the field and maintains affiliation with the IEEE. An expert in his field, he has contributed his knowledge to a number of professional journals including the International Information Institute's INFORMATION-An International Interdisciplinary Journal, the Indian Journal of Science and Technology, IEEE Communications Magazine, and the Journal of Supercomputing. He is the author of Ubiquitous Virtual Reality Environments. The SAGE Handbook of Digital Technology Research, SAGE Publications Ltd. (edited by Sara Price, Carey Jewitt and Barry Brown), PART FOUR. He holds patents for Integrated Context Generation Methods and Devices, and Portable Devices and Methods for User Health Care Management, and 5 registered software programs.
With an impressive list of personal achievements to his name, Dr. Oh has won many awards for his professional accomplishments, including a Research Award through Daegu University and a BK Scholarship through GIST.
