Earlier, he worked as a partner at Hunton and Williams and as an associate and partner at Lovejoy, Wasson and Aston. He was a foreign attorney at Sullivan and Cromwell from 1949 to 1951. Mr. Reverdin was the drafter of the Business Corporation Act of the Republic of Liberia and the Republic of Nevis in 1987, and presented it to the legislative commissions of those countries.
Mr. Reverdin received a Bachelor of Law from the University in Geneva in 1942 and continued his studies as a postgraduate at Harvard Law School. He has contributed articles to professional journals and has lectured on various topics within his field. Mr. Reverdin has been admitted to practice law in Switzerland and New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association, and the International Association of Lawyers (UIA). He held the title of chair of the International Trust and Estate Committee from 1988 to 1990. He is also the former president of the American Foreign Law Association, the Consular Law Society, and the Swiss Society of New York. He was involved in international litigations relating to banks and business companies, handled foreign corporate tax and business matters, was counsel and officer of manufacturing companies, appointed by the president of Liberia as a representative in international diplomatic conferences, appointed by the Swiss Consul General of New York to be a counsel of the Consulate, and even handled international extraditions. In recent years, Mr. Reverdin worked on international estate planning and estate administration of foreign domiciliaries.
Mr. Reverdin is the son of Jean and Germaine Reverdin. He is the husband of Marcelle Coicou Reverdin, and he has three children from a previous marriage, Caroline Flanagan, Brigitte Reverdin, and Nathalie Reverdin, as well as four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Reverdin has been featured in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, and Who's Who in the World.
