A former government agency administrator, Mr. Morrison retired as the president of Morrison Associates in 2013. First established in 1988 in Washington, D.C., his consulting firm enjoyed many successful years in business. His extensive background in government began in 1957 when he served in the military, where he left active duty as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army in 1959.
Mr. Morrison continued when he became an inventory manager for Dayton Air Force Depot and Defense Electronics Supply Center. He later worked in other positions, including as a management specialist for fifteen years with the Air Force Logistics Command and NASA, a senior management associate of the executive office of the president of the Office of Management and Budget for five years, and as both director of Congressional relations and as associate director of compensation for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management for eight years. For a brief time, Mr. Morrison served as senior management for CNA Insurance Company, a role he maintained just before forming his own business.
In the mid-1970s, Mr. Morrison served as a visiting lecturer for a public executive project at the State University of New York. A former member of the advisory committee for the Dayton Board Education, he remains a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, as well as the Pi Delta Phi and Pi Alpha Alpha honorary societies. The recipient of a Presidential Rank Award of Distinguished Executive in 1985, Mr. Morrison has also been named to several editions of Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in American Politics, and close to 20 editions of Who's Who in America. Remarried to Jean Murray Barber since 2001, Mr. Morrison has two children from his previous marriage, as well as one step-child from his current marriage. He has six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
