An accomplished listee, Mr. Theurer celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Entering the U.S. Air Force Academy due to his love of flying, Mr. Theurer completed a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science in 1961, and was commissioned into the U.S. Air Force. Retiring from the military for medical disability in 1978 as a Lieutenant Colonel after 17 years of service, he then entered the work force as a senior engineer with Veda, Inc., Logicon, Inc., and as a project manager with CTA Inc. In 1988 he founded, owned, and operated The Princeton Review of Central California, a test preparation service, with operating locations throughout central California, and offices in Ridgecrest and San Luis Obispo. Retiring in 2001, Mr. Theurer served as a counselor with SCORE until 2007. He has more recently been a member of the Ivins Economic Development Committee.
An authority on aeronautical engineering, Mr. Theurer also completed a Master of Science in Aeronautical Science at the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA at the University of Redlands. He is a graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces and the Systems Management College of the Department of Defense. A member of the Air Force Association, SCORE, and the Las Vegas Valley Soaring Association, he is also a member of the USAF Academy Association of Graduates and has served both as a chapter president and member of the national board of directors.
During Mr. Theurer's military career, he was an interceptor pilot, a combat forward air controller in Southeast Asia, a student and an instructor at the USAF Test Pilot School, a project officer on the Space Shuttle development program, and the Chief of Test in the F-15 Systems Program Office. He was decorated with the Silver Star, the Distinguished Flying Cross, 16 Air Medals, and was named as the first-ever Officer of the Year of the Air Force Flight Test Center. One of his proudest achievements was when he flew the jet-rocket NF-104 to an altitude of 101,600 feet. Highlighted for his work, Mr. Theurer has been included in many editions: Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the West, and Who's Who in the World. Married to Patricia Ann Pilcher since 2002, Mr. Theurer has three children from a previous marriage.
