Born in Rome to Michele Cifarelli and Felicita Nisio in 1952, Dr. Cifarelli first studied economics in Oberlin College in the U.S. before receiving a laurea degree in economic science from the Universita' di Siena. He completed a PhD in economics in 1984 from the University of Cambridge in England, and delved into a career with academia. Dr. Cifarelli has taught at the Libera Universita Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli, the Universita' di Siena, and the universities of Cassino, Rome II at the Tor Vergata, Florence, Stanford-Florence, and Brescia. He was selected for membership with the Cambridge Liberal Club and the honor society Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Cifarelli is a frequent contributor to books and textbooks on international economics, particularly finance, applied econometrics, and macroeconomics. His name graces the bylines of numerous international journals and reviews.
For his achievements in economics, Dr. Cifarelli was selected for inclusion with three volumes of Who's Who in the World in 2009, 2013, and 2014. He enjoys Greek and Roman art, classical music, and mountaineering.
