Dr. Makoto brings a substantial educational background to the professional arena. After graduating from Tokyo University in 1982, he went on to serve as a visiting research scientist at Tokyo Institute of Technology and the University of Tokyo. He then studied engineering, advanced science and technology at the University of Tokyo, building a skill set that would influence his excellence in his respective field. In 1996, he attained his doctorate from the same esteemed institute.
Exhibiting enthusiasm for physics and engineering, Dr. Makoto began work for the Sony Research Center in Yokohama in 1982, remaining there as a research scientist for five years. Sustained by his unmatched expertise in his industry, he went on to work for Toyobo Research Center as a research scientist, the Japan Fine Ceramics Center as chief research scientist and the Advanced Science and Technology Laboratory as director. He has also spent a considerable amount of time passing on his considerable knowledge about bionics, computer science and engineering at the Tokyo University of Technology, where he continues to teach to this day.
Due to his skills and occupational accomplishments, Dr. Makoto has been the recipient of the Sony Crystal Award. He maintains memberships with the Magnetics Society of Japan, the Japan Society of Applied Physics and the Biophysical Society of Japan, and has been mentioned in several Who's Who publications. Some of his creative works involve rapid sensing and screening of DNA and RNA information, computer simulation and theory for Nucleic Acid hybridization and ligand-receptor reaction and physics of magnetic responses for multi-layered thin films.
