In order to remain active and engaged among his professional circles, he affiliates himself with the Korean Medical Association, the Korean Urological Association, the Korean Prostate Society, the Korean Endourological Society, and the Urological Association of Asia. Throughout his career, he has contributed to a number of professional journals, along with other scholars in the field, covering such topics as hypoxia in regards to human mesenchymal stem cells and chylous ascites in laparoscopic renal surgery.
Beyond his status as an esteemed and hard-working figure in his field, Dr. Kim has been recognized many times for his professional accomplishments. In addition to earning an Academic Prize from the Korean Endourological Society in 2011, Dr. Kim won Third Place at the 3rd International Simulation Competition for Young Urologists in Beijing.
