Dr. Grizzle is founder and has been pastor of Hope International Ministries in Tulsa since 2002, as well as a longstanding professor of New Testament and Greek at the Oral Roberts University Graduate School of Theology and Ministry in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a religious scholar, he has traveled to scholarly conferences and religious events througout England, Africa, and the U.S., finally settling in Oklahoma to undertake theological, educational, and pastoral responsibilities. Dr. Grizzle has been a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association since 1996. Along with presentations he makes at scholarly forums, he presents biblical papers at the Annual Kingdom Summit at ROCK Church in Houston, Texas. He was nominated for the 2001 Scholar of the Year with Oral Roberts, and was named 1998 and 1991 Outstanding Faculty of the Year with the university's College of Theology and Ministry.
Born to Stanford Augustus and Ida Grizzle in Hanover, Jamaica, Dr. Grizzle served as a Church of God missionary and teacher in Ghana 1968-1972. He married his first wife, Beryl Beverly Bean, while a student of religion at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee after immigrating to the U.S. Mr. Grizzle went on to earn an MDiv with the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He earned a PhD from Southwestern Baptist in 1984, and has taught at Oral Roberts University since 1982. He has authored two biblical commentaries: "Ephesians" (Pentecostal Commentary Series) and "Books of Acts," volume 2 slated for completion in 2018, and contributed to "The Spirit-Filled Life Bible" in 1991.
Dr. Grizzle is a member of the Society for Pentecostal Studies. Selected for inclusion in the 58th edition of Who's Who in America, Dr. Grizzle feels God has given him a passion for the spiritual well-being of ministers and families, resulting in his conducting successful seminars for ministerial leadership and marriage. Though his first wife passed away in 1994, he has found love again in Maureen Elaine Clarke whom he married in 1997. The union has produced three children, Andre Mark, Renee Leanne, and Trevor II, as well as two grandchildren, Dominic and Jasmine. When not teaching or preaching, Dr. Grizzle enjoys tennis, novels, foreign language, and travel.
