Splitting his time between his three most beloved passions, Mr. Kucij is a longtime professional engineer who worked in the industry for 40 years for companies like Honeywell, Inc., Swedlow, Inc., and TRW Automotive. Moving in and out of roles as he continued to climb the corporate ladder, he spent time as a reliability engineer, quality assurance staff specialist, and senior quality systems manager. Mr. Kucij was most recently employed as a quality engineering manager for UTC Aerospace Systems in Pomona, CA, from 2008 until retirement in 2014.
Licensed in 1982 as a minister in the Baptist Church, Mr. Kucij's faith has enabled him to spread the word of God for many years. After first studying at Sherwood Music Conservatory of Chicago, he then earned his undergraduate degree in music at California State Polytechnic University. He went back to school to earn a Master of Theology at Christian Bible College, cum laude, in 1983, following graduate studies at both Maranatha Baptist Bible College and Central Baptist Theological Seminary. Mr. Kucij has served various ministries for 30 years, and was an assistant to local pastors for various Baptist churches in Texas, Georgia, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and California. Mr. Kucij spent time as a music director and youth director for Covina Baptist Temple. He was a member of the school board, was on the church council, and served as a music leader and bible teacher for Calvary Baptist Church. He also served on the board of directors for the Garden Grove Symphony Orchestra. A member of Founders Ministries, Creation Research Society, American Composer's Forum, the American Society for Quality, among others, he has been highlighted in dozens of editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and a few other publications for his work. Mr. Kucij holds membership in The American Society for Quality, The American Composer's Forum, The Christian Fellowship of Art Music Composers (CFAMC), and Broadcast Music, Inc. Playing eclectic, contemporary, classical music, his compositions vary from ballad to modern classical, pop, jazz, and ragtime. Mr. Kucij has since played across the country, and his music is housed in various libraries from Boston to Cleveland to New York City. For the past nearly 25 years, he has been recording his music through KRC Records.
When it comes to music, Mr. Kucij had the opportunity to study with Frank Sanucci, Edward D. Berryman, Thurla Wallis, Kathreen Prout, Eddy L. Manson, Henry Charles Smith and Ronald Gearman between the years of 1965 and 1978. A composer and keyboard artist, he made his debut in 1966 at the age of 11 in Los Angeles, CA, winning the Southern California Organ Competition and a 1967 Performer's Certificate. Throughout the 1960s, Mr. Kucij played regularly at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, and in the 1970s, he was honored to play at Harvard University for the Busch-Reisinger Museum.
