At the start of his career, he joined Brigham and Women's Hospital and Joslin Clinic as a fellow in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. Subsequently, he became a resident in internal medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he also served as an attending physician. Over the years, Dr. Greenfield has lent his expertise to North Shore University Hospital and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine as well.
A graduate of the State University of New York, Dr. Greenfield holds an MD and is a diplomate through the American Board of Internal Medicine. In order to remain active and engaged among his professional circles, he affiliates himself with the American College of Physicians, the American College of Endocrinology, and the New York State and Nassau County Medical Societies.
Beyond her status as an esteemed and long-standing figure in his field, Dr. Greenfield has been recognized many times for his professional accomplishments. From 2013 until 2016, Dr. Greenfield was named in the 67th to 70th editions of Who's Who in America.
