MATHER, CA, October 24, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael A. Hackard has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Hackard serves the people of California in matters of trust litigation, personal injury, wrongful death, estate planning, business and commercial matters. He has been an attorney for 41 years, and has achieved much success from having a strong work ethic, a desire to help others, commitment to clients, and a bit of creativity in his profession. Mr. Hackard continues to enjoy the rating of AV Preeminent from Martindale-Hubbell, which he has held for over 20 years.
Mr. Hackard is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento, where he majored in government, history, and sociology. Though he wanted to continue in history, his father had different ideas, and offered to pay for law school instead. Mr. Hackard accepted the offer, and attended the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific in Sacramento, California, where he earned a JD in 1976. He has served previously with the firm of Hackard and Holt as a partner, and is most proud of representing families who lost loved ones from pharmaceutical drugs that were withdrawn by the Federal Drug Administration. Mr. Hackard is admitted to practice in the state of California.
From many years of legal practice, Mr. Hackard has accrued a number of honors, including the 10.0 Superb rating from Avvo, as well as inclusion with the 2014 to 2015 Super Lawyer in California listing and the 2014 Top Attorney in Sacramento honor. He has served pro bono as a member of the board of trustees with the Jesuit High School in Sacramento, as well as board chair of "Preserving Our Past...Building Our Future" with the Diocese of Sacremento. In addition to his formal training, he has studied at Dartmouth University's Tuck School of Business, the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, Columbia Business School and Northwest University's Kellogg School of Management. Mr. Hackard has written a book, "The Wolf at the Door: Undue Influence and Elder Financial Abuse," in hopes of stemming the many offenses against seniors he has seen over the years.
Mr. Hackard loves to spend time with his family, which includes his wife, Lisa, as well as his children, Leslie, Mark, Matt, and Megan. He is also the grandfather of Mark, Annie, and Andrew. He is currently writing another book, and he intends to continue serving his firm as senior partner and as a lecturer in legal circuits for many years to come.
