The son of Clinton Brewster and Eileen Florence Waelde, Mr. Waelde was born on December 27, 1951 in Teaneck, New Jersey. On May 24, 1975, he married Soledad Nelita Acedillo. Together, the couple raised two children: Christine Ann and Richard Adams.
In 1976, Mr. Waelde graduated with a BS from Fairleigh Dickinson University. While studying at Fairleigh Dickinson University, he was a project leader for Muralo Paints from 1974 to 1979. Mr. Waelde became a laboratory manager of Lazon Paints in 1979. From 1984 to 1986, he was a plant manager of Stevens Paint Company, and since 1986, Mr. Waelde has worked as a manager of Powder Coatings for Troy Chemical Corp.
As a member of the New York Society of Coating Technology, Mr. Waelde was a technology chairman from 1990 to 1993, as well as a symposium chairman from 1993 to 1995, a treasurer from 1995 to 1996, a secretary from 1996 to 1997, a vice president and president elect from 1997 to 1998, and a president from 1998 to 1998. In 1994, Mr. Waelde was the recipient of the Roy H. Kienle Award. He also was a technology member of the Powder Coating Institute.
Mr. Waelde has appeared in various Marquis Who's Who publications, including the 52nd through 58th and 63rd editions of Who's Who in America. He has been featured in the 2nd through 9th editions of Who's Who in Science and Engineering, as well as the 26th edition of Who's Who in the East. His achievements also have been recorded in the 12th through 25th, 17th, and 19th through 25th editions of Who's Who in the World.
