Mr. Bodnar is an experienced matrimonial litigator of nearly 44 years who also mediates matrimonial and family law matters. He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
Born in Queens, New York, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from New York University and a JD from Fordham University. He was admitted to practice in New York in 1971 and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in 1973. He spent the first three years of his career as a confidential law secretary to the Honorable Evans V. Brewster for the Family Court and County Court of Westchester, New York from 1970 to 1973, and has been in private practice ever since. Mr. Bodnar has also collaborated as a partner of Bodnar and Greene, PC, and Bender & Bodnar in White Plains, New York. He has been principal of Bodnar and Milone since 1999, and is a lecturer on family law with organizations such as the New York State Bar Association and the Women's Justice Center at the Pace University School of Law.
Mr. Bodnar has been a leader in his field, including the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers where he served as Parliamentarian, on the Board of Managers, and Vice President of the New York State chapter. He is a former member and a former Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Westchester County Bar Association's Family Law Section. Additionally, he has been a member of the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association's Family Law Section since 2000 and as a former Chair of Long Range Planning. In January of 2018, the firm will be joined by the five attorneys now practicing as Berman, Frucco, Gouz, Mitchel, and Schub.
Outside of his legal work, Mr. Bodnar has conducted business across Europe and Asia through entities based in Budapest, Hungary. Between 2004 and 2007, Mr. Bodnar served as Managing Member of Organica USA II, LLC, and as Chief Executive Officer from 1998 to 2007. He also served on the Supervisory Board of Vertis Environmental Financial, KFT, and Organica RT. Between 1990 and 1997, Mr. Bodnar also served as Chief Executive Officer of P.A.J. America, Ltd. and The Olo Corporation.
Mr. Bodnar has been included in close to 60 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who in America.
