He has been serving as the principal engineer in the seismic retrofit and strengthening of several buildings in south California, using advanced techniques and materials, such as fiber reinforced polymers (FRP), which was presented to the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California (SEAOSC), as the most time- and cost-efficient technique to make old buildings earthquake resistant. These qualities set CES4 apart as one of the leaders in building the vital and resilient structures of tomorrow.
Dr. Zohrevand completed his B.Sc at Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran, and later received his M.Sc. from Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran. He traveled to Florida International University to complete a doctorate in 2012 and just two years later, he was the recipient of about $500,000 in research grants from the National Center for Transportation Systems Productivity and Management and the Florida Department of Transportation. Throughout his professional career, he has been actively involved in research development projects that led to publishing more than 20 scholarly papers in high-ranking peer-reviewed journals with more than 100 citations, according to Google Scholar.
