Prior to founding Kat's Kitchen Without Borders, Ms. Haines enjoyed a lucrative career in the technology sector for more than 20 years. A licensed engineer, she held a variety of roles in computers, tech support and networking with several well-known industry leaders, including Xerox, Toshiba, Microsoft, MSI and Nortel Networks. In addition, Ms. Haines has studied many subjects, such as computer science, linguistics, economics, political science, philosophy, Roman and Greek history and literature, as well as four different types of law including the fields of family, real estate, and bankruptcy law. She is a licensed broker with experience as a senior Underwriter for mortgages and Senior Auditor. Fluent in five languages, Ms. Haines draws upon her diverse range of experience in her current role with Kat's Kitchen Without Borders.
Ms. Haines was inspired to change career paths after she was diagnosed with three types of cancer and five tumors, an experience which urged her to take nothing for granted. She went on to heal within three months without traditional treatments, radiation or chemotherapy. Since then, Ms. Haines has been driven to find an effective way to share her knowledge with the world. She is a self-proclaimed public educator on health issues and natural healing.
