Following his graduation, Mr. Stembridge established Stembridge Furniture, Inc., where he has worked as its president since 1968. In the same year, he was the vice president of Stembridge Real Estate Co. Inc. In 2011, Mr. Stembridge was promoted to the position of the president.
From 1985 to 2013, Mr. Stembridge was an associate of the Americans for a Safe Israel. During this period, he was the mayor of North Miami, Florida from 1973 to 1975. Over the years, he has traveled to more than 100 nations and islands. He has lobbied world leaders, including the late John Paul II, to use their influence to help free the three million Jewish Refusniks of the former Soviet Union (today, more than one million live in Israel). Mr. Stembridge also interviewed top Senators, Congressmen, and business, religious, cultural, and civic leaders on his inspirational television and radio shows.
As a successful businessman, Mr. Stembridge is a member of various related organizations. He was a board member for the Florida Furniture Dealers Association, Jewish National Fund, and Miami Beach Holocaust Memorial. Mr. Stembridge was the governor of the Tropical District Civitan International, as well as the vice chairman of the Bi-Centennial Committee of the United States Conference of Mayors in 1975.
Mr. Stembridge has been featured in editions of Who's Who in the South and Southwest and Who's Who Among Graduates of American Colleges and Universities. He was the recipient of Civitan International's Shropshire Foundation Award, as well as the Martin Luther Brotherhood Award in 1983. In 2003, the North Miami Chamber of Commerce awarded Mr. Stembridge with the Business of the Year Award. In 2005, he received the Leadership Award from the Jewish National Fund.
