An internationally-renowned fertility specialist, Dr. Kligman is a board-certified physician in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility, as well as a longtime associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive medicine at the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine (CRM) at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Joining the CRM in 1993 while doing his fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, Dr. Kligman soon thereafter became an assistant professor in 1995. He previously completed a research fellowship in reproductive biology and endocrinology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 1989, a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Maryland Medical Center in 1992, and a MD and residency at the University of Javeriana in Colombia in 1981 and 1987, respectively.
Dr. Kligman sees patients in the CRM's Manhattan office, where he provides fertility preservation services for women who want to cryopreserve their ovum and attain pregnancy later in their reproductive cycle. He also treats patients with a wide range of reproductive and infertility disorders and helps patients with fertility issues become pregnant using sophisticated assisted reproduction techniques, including in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). He is also skilled in laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.
An elected fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, and the New York Obstetrical Society, Dr. Kligman has contributed significantly to the medical community by conducting many presentations on research and treatment modalities in reproductive medicine throughout the United States, Japan, Europe, and South America.
Furthermore, he has contributed chapters to textbooks and articles in peer-reviewed medical journals as an author and co-author, and has served as a member of the editorial board for several publications, including the Fertility and Sterility and Reproduccion Humana. Cited in the second edition of Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Dr. Kligman is married to Jayne Angard-Kligman with whom he has two children.
