Additionally, he has participated in a number of professional and local societies regarding materials and chemical engineering, oil refining, the mineral industry, and the principles and kinetics of accelerated carbonation.
Beyond his status as a hard-working and versatile figure in his field, Dr. Larachi has been awarded many times for his professional endeavors, earning the Tier I Canada Research Chair, The Research Summa Award of Laval University Faculty of Sciences and Engineering, and the Star Professor Award.
