Throughout her career, she has contributed to a number of publications, including the Journal of Systems and Software, IEEE Transactions on Education, and the Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Education.
Noted as a leader in her industry, Dr. Mengel has served on a number of panels, and written a plethora of technical reports, and conference publications. An expert in the field of artificial intelligence, she has also won many awards for her professional accomplishments, including the honor of Outreach Chair Elect for the 2018 Fiscal Year through the Society of Women Engineers.
