An electrical engineer and researcher with more than 50 years of experience, Dr. Nagy most recently served as the head of the department at Sanrura Corporation from 1990 to 1993. His career, which quickly began to take shape just prior to the completion of his schooling, began in 1966 at the Research Institute of Electric Energy Industry in Budapest, Hungary, where he served as a scientific associate. He then taught as an associate professor of engineering for a decade at a local college in Budapest before becoming a guest research at Chuo University in Tokyo, and chief researcher of Birds Information Scientific Research Institute up until 1989.
During his career, Dr. Nagy also gained recognition teaching as an assistant professor at the Technical University in Budapest, lecturer at the University of Horticulture in Budapest, licensed application evaluator at Howa License Technology Office in Japan, as honorary director of General Asia, IBC, and, most recently, as deputy governor of ABI Research Association from 2008 to 2012. A longstanding member of the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers, the International Federation of Automatic Control, and the International Institute of Informatics and Systematics, Dr. Nagy has contributed various articles to professional journals on topics in his field and has also served as a reviewer. Some of his most valuable achievements have included the invention of an adaptive sampling circuit arrangement and innovating a variable sampling interval control system. Dr. Nagy has been working on new types of control systems for many years.
Dr. Nagy was born in a small southern Hungarian village, and went on to earn a Diploma in Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Budapest in 1966, a PhD at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 1973, and a Diploma in Outstanding Intellectual from the International Biographical Centre (IBC) in 2008. Dr. Nagy has received a tremendous amount of awards and accolades throughout his career, including several from the American Biographical Institute, including a 2012 Global 100 Award, as well as several from the International Biographical Centre, a 2010 Ambassador Knowledge Medallion by the University of Cambridge, a 2009 International Peace Prize by the United Cultural Convention, a Research Scholarship by the Technische Universitat Dresden earlier in his career, and many others.
An avid theater attendee and birdwatcher, Dr. Nagy has been married to his wife, Ritsuko Mine, since 1978. Dr. Nagy served as secretary general for the United Cultural Convention from 2009 to 2012, as well as vice president of World Congress Arts, Sciences, and Communications in 2010. He has been highlighted in over 30 editions of Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in Asia, and Who's Who in the World. He has also been named a 2016 Honorary Professor of Engineering from the IBC.
