Beginning his journey in the field of realty in 2004, Dr. Falter has worked for a number of great firms. After spending the bulk of his career in healthcare and administration, he joined Coldwell Banker as a realtor in Worchester, MA. Three years later, he went to work for Weichert Realtors as a broker associate and trainer. He also spent time at Keller Williams Realty, Gold Triangle Realty, ERA Key Realty Services, and RE/MAX Advantage 1.
For the past year, Dr. Falter has been employed with EXIT Real Estate Executives in his hometown of Brookfield, MA, as a broker associate. A licensed real estate broker in both Connecticut and Massachusetts, Dr. Falter is also a certified instructor. Over the past 13 years, Dr. Falter has been working with buyers, investors, and sellers in the residential real estate market, utilizing the skills he gained via the following designations: certified residential specialist (CRS); graduate realtor institute (GRI); accredited buyer representative (ABR); military relocation professional (MRP); seniors real estate specialist (SRES); short sale foreclosure certification (SFR); among others. He is a member of the National Association of REALTORS, the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS, the REALTOR Association of Central Massachusetts, and the Real Estate Educators Association.
Since 2007, Dr. Falter has been a real estate instructor for the Center for Real Estate Studies and Training. He has also been the dean of the REALTOR Institute, Massachusetts Association of Realtors, since 2007. Furthermore, he has contributed to the field as a newsletter proofreader for the Massachusetts Rental Housing Association since 2008. Additionally, he's affiliated with the ERA Key Realty University from 2010 to 2016, Quinsigamond Community College since 2016, and the real estate buyer's agent council for the National Association of Realtors since 2010.
Dr. Falter holds several degrees. He first completed an Associate's degree and Bachelor's degree at St. John's University before acquiring a Master of Arts at Kean University in 1973. By 1976, he earned an MBA at Cornell University's Johnson School of Management. Returning to school years later, he received a PhD at Walden University's Institute for Advanced Studies in 1993.
Beginning his career as an administrative resident at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center in the summer of 1975, Dr. Falter spent the next 30 years as a healthcare administrator, correctional healthcare administrator, and licensed nursing home administrator. He officially retired in 2004 with the Linda Manor Extended Care Facility in Leeds, MA. He continues to volunteer at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center in their pastoral care department.
Affiliated with numerous organizations throughout his extensive career in healthcare administration, including as an honorary lifetime member of the American Academy of Medical Administrators and as a Life Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, where he formerly served on their editorial board and as a book reviewer, Dr. Falter now concentrates solely on being active with professional real estate organizations. He is a member of the Worcester Regional Association, where he was named Rookie of the Year, Educator of the Year, and received a Five-Year Service Award, as well as the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and the Real Estate Educators Association.
Dr. Falter has been a certified residential specialist since 2015, which was issued by the Council of Residential Specialists, an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS. Only 3% of all realtors in the U.S. hold this designation. Currently, Dr. Falter is serving his local community on the board of assessors for the town of Brookfield. He has been included in dozens of editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in the East, and Who's Who in the World.
