DAEJEON, REPUBLIC OF KOREA, November 28, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Eun-Sok Won has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Dr. Won is a noted English educator currently serving as a professor with Mokwon University in Daejeon, as well as a director with the Corpus Education Publication Company and the Institute of Creativity and Humanity in Korea. He has leveraged his passion for utilizing digital contents in education such as digital games, AI based contents, big data, smart devices and education contents. Also he has focused on various practical issues in how gamification and intelligent interfaces based learning and teaching methods can best be applied to the language education. He was named to a 2007 Seoul Humanities Fellowship by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
Since Dr. Won defined himself as a contents creator, he has tried to make various education contents such as a podcast titled "Humanity Revolution." which is a talk show deals with personality and humanity, another podcast named "Children", where he takes talk about diverse issues concerning infant care with his wife, who works as a professor in Early Childhood Education, and several books for English learning.
As a young man in the 1980s, Dr Won studied English at the Daejeon Foreign Language High School and served to the rank of sergeant with the Republic of Korea Army. He earned a doctorate with Chung-Ang University in the capital of Seoul, and has joined a number of professional societies. Notably, he is a promotion director with the Modern English Education Society, a secretary general with the English Teacher Association in Korea, and international academic director with the Korea Association of Multimedia-Assisted Language Learning. Dr. Won has submitted articles related to aforementioned research themes to numerous professional journals including the International Commerce and Information Review, the Journal of the Korea Contents Association, the Journal of Korea Game Society, and the International Journal of Knowledge and Learning.
In 2016, Dr. Won wrote an article comparing mobile device usage and its implications for English education in Korea, building on years of analysis of game interfaces, the global education market, and the effectiveness of game learning across the world. He was honored with a 2016 Best Paper Award by the Convergent Research Society Among Humanities, Sociology, Science and Technology. In addition as an active kidult, Dr. Won enjoys Lego, online and video games, comics, and plamodel (hobby of plastic model making attributed mainly to Asian). He is the father of Won Tea-Geon and Won Ah-Yoon with his wife, Jin Ju-Hee.
