CLINTON, NJ, December 15, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James DeGroff has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Beginning his career as a student of Cornell University in 1956, Mr. DeGroff earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics in 1960. Mr. DeGroff continued his studies at his alma mater, receiving a master's degree in research management in 1961.
After becoming involved in the laboratory production of color software, Mr. DeGroff founded ColorTec Associates, Inc., in 1982. Since 1982, Mr. DeGroff has served as the president of ColorTec Associates, Inc., for which he is responsible for the total management of color software for QC and colorant formulation. While working at ColorTec Associates, Inc., Mr. DeGroff formed and served as managing partner of FORMULATOR Software LLC., where his responsibilities include the management of all operations and financial activity. Mr. DeGroff has held this position for the past 15 years. In 2007, Sage Software appointed Mr. DeGroff as a Sage Software Add-on Partner, where he offers support on Sage PFW and integrates FORMULATOR software with Sage programs. Mr. DeGroff is currently working to integrate Sage 100 and FORUMULATOR.
Throughout the course of his career, Mr. DeGroff has written and presented several papers at a variety of conferences and seminars sponsored by Clemson University, North Carolina State University, Rutgers University, and the University of Manchester. As an entrepreneur and expert in color software, Mr. DeGroff is a member of numerous organizations such as the ISCC, the IFCC, and the Paint and Coating Association. Outside of his field, Mr. DeGroff is involved with the Red Mill Village Museum in Clinton, NJ, as well as the New Jersey Sierra Club. For his achievements, the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers awarded Mr. DeGroff with a Plaque for Contribution to this organization. From 1984 to 2012, Mr. DeGroff was also honored at the Global Health & Beauty Conference, as well as the Adhesive and Sealants Council and the Federation of Societies of Coating Technology.
