DAEJON, REPUBLIC OF KOREA, December 18, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Eunju Son has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As an expert in German linguistics, Dr. Son currently works as a professor in the Department of International Culture at Mokwon University. Prior to that, she served as dean of the College of Humanities at Mokwon University. She has held numerous other roles within her field, including as a research professor at the Ludwig Maximilian University, as a guest professor for Korea University in Seoul, and as a guest professor for the Hankuk University of Foreign Languages.
Dr. Son began her career at Korea University, earning a BA, MA, and PhD in German Literature, also obtaining an MA in English-Korean Translation from Hankuk University of Foreign Languages. She is a member of the International Comparative Literature Association and the Korea Comparative Literature Association. She is an expert on German Literature in the Republic of Korea, and has published several works on the subject, including "Comparative Studies on European Folk Tales," "Understanding of European Literature," "Invitation to European Culture," and "Critical Essays on German Literary Works in Korean Translation."
Dr. Son has been honored with several accolades throughout her career. In 1998, she received a Distinguished Professor of the Year, and received a Korean-German Literature Translation Award from the Institute for Translation of German-Korean Literature that same year. She has also been selected for inclusion in Who's Who in the World. Looking towards the future, she hopes to share her knowledge with future generations through Mokwon University while continuing to build upon her own areas of expertise. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling overseas, reading, playing badminton, and playing the violin.
