With more than 40 years of professional experience, Ms. Safoura has worked as the chief executive officer and founder of DUBASS Higher Institute of Technology (IST-DUBASS) since 2013. Prior to this role, she was the founding director of Safi from 2004 to 2012, and the founder and chief executive officer of SAFCI-INFORMATIQUE from 1986 to 2007. From 1983 to 1986, she worked as the director of the University of Abidjan Higher Institute of Computer Technology and as a teacher of descriptive statistics at Abidjan State University, having been a mathematics teacher with the school since 1978. Additionally, she was a project manager with the Ministry of Finance from 1977 to 1983 and a software programming engineer from 1974 to 1976. She has served as a consultant with various organizations throughout her career.
Ms. Safoura began her career at Lycee Classique, obtaining a BS in mathematics in 1965. She went on to earn a Master's Degree in mathematics from Pierre and Marie Curie University Jussieu Campus in Paris, France in 1970. She was recognized diplomate of engineering statistics and economics by the National School of Statistics and Administration in 1974, completing postgraduate work with the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts (CNAM: Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers) of Paris in 1977.
Throughout her career, Ms. Safoura she has contributed to a number of conferences in her field, and authored the book "Cours de Statistiques Mathematiques," which was published in 1979. Additionally, she has been recognized many times for her professional accomplishments, becoming an Officer of the Order of Merit of Higher Education, and Commander of the National Order of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire.
