With nearly 15 years of Holistic Industry experience, Dr. Manning is currently a business owner and board certified Holistic Health Therapist. Dr. Manning has worked as a life coach and university service & leadership manager for Florida A&M University, and as a life coach in Okinawa, Japan, She is the founder for Pretty Lady Upscale Resale, LLC, a life coach for Imagine Potential Now with Life Strategies Coaching Firm, and has been a company spokesperson with Technicians USA. Prior to these appointments, she has served in many prestigious positions such as a life coach & motivational speaker for Eco Youth Development in Tanzania, a deputy sheriff with the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office, a state wide civil citation coordinator for the Department of Juvenile Justice, a re-entry transition coordinator and mentor coach creator & supervisor for the Department of Juvenile Justice, and a family coach & youthful offender instructor for Aware Central Texas. Earlier in her career, she held two posts with Orange County, lead juvenile instructor at the Orange County Department of Corrections and Forensic Fingerprint Analyst at the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
Dr. Manning began her career at the United States Army Adjutant General School, earning her diploma in Mortuary Affairs. She later earned diplomas from the United States Army Joint Mortuary Affairs Center, National Academy of Mortuary Science, as well as a diploma in criminal justice administration from Fayetteville State University and a diploma from the Reserve Law Enforcement Academy at Seminole State College of Florida in 2006. She continued her studies with coursework in advanced forensics at the American Institute of Applied Science, volunteer supervisor training at DOVA, a Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Theology from the Christian Counseling Conferred with the Clarity International Christian University and a diploma in business administration at Trident University International. Currently, Dr. Manning is a Board Certified Holistic Health Therapist through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. Dr. Manning has received many certifications as well, including a Hazmat Transportation Certificate from the U.S. Army, an Optometry Certification from Fayetteville Technical Community College, a Phlebotomy Certification from the U.S. Army, a Dental X-ray Certification as a Dental Assistant with the United States Army Dental Corps, and a Certificate for Medico Legal Investigation of Death from Wayne State University. She later obtained a Forensic Science Certificate from University of Florida, an Advanced Latent Print Comparison & Evaluation Certificate from the FDIAI, a Crime Scene Investigation Certificate from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, a Family Coach Certification from Aware Central Texas, and a Legal Investigations Certificate from The Ohio State University. Most recently, Dr. Manning was presented with a Coach Practitioner Certification from the Certified Coaching Federation, a PAR Certification from the Department of Juvenile Justice, and a Professional Life Coach Certification from Light University.
In addition to her work in the field, Dr. Manning enlisted in the United States Army as a Battle NCO & Mortuary Affairs Officer with the 1st Calvary Division during which time she served as a Mortuary Affairs Sergeant & Supervisor during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following her enlistment, she joined the Volunteers in Service for America for the Florida Attorney General Initiative with VISTA Alumni before being recognized as commissioner on the status of women and girls for Leon County, Florida, and on the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Bend. A board member of the Human Relations Committee for the City of Tallahassee, she was a member of the Tallahassee Community Relations Board with the Federal Correctional Institution, and chair of the Minority Women's Business Enterprise Council. Additionally, she was appointed chair of the Community Justice Board with the Restorative Justice Program for the Palmer Munroe Teen Center. Dr Manning is a published author with several books in publication for youth, inspiring them to reach their potential.
Dr. Manning is affiliated with various professional organizations in her areas of expertise. A former president for the Iota Phi Lambda Business Sorority, Inc, Orlando Chapter, she was honored as a member of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and as the chair of volunteers for the American National Red Cross in Okinawa, Japan.. She is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star PHA, Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, Lambda Alpha Epsilon, Criminal Justice Fraternity, Inc., the Woman's Club of Tallahassee, and the National Association of Black Military Women. She has been active with the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Club, the Tallahassee Charter of the National Congress of Black Women, Disabled American Veterans, and the American Association of Christian Counselors. Additionally, she was recognized as the Visionary Pearl for the Gamma Phi Delta Business Sorority, Inc., the Iota Phi Lambda Business Sorority, Inc., the National Council for Negro Women, Inc., where she is a charter member for the Greater Orlando Section and charter president of the Greater Tallahassee Section, and NAACP Community Coordination Chair of the Tallahassee Branch.
In recognition of her contributions, Dr. Manning has accrued several accolades and honors throughout her career. She received several honors from the U.S. Army, including Chairman of the Joint Chief Of Staff Award for Outstanding Performance, the Good Conduct Medal for Over 10 Years of Service, the Outstanding Performance Award, the Accommodation Award for Distinguished Service, and the Award for Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom. The subject of an Arts for Peace feature in Brushing Journal, she earned the Star Award for Service from the Orange County Department of Corrections, the Award for Outstanding Performance from the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the Central Florida Outstanding Greek Community Service Award, the Sigma's Top Leader honor from The Aurora Magazine, and the North Florida Youth Development Center Award. Recognized as a "Wonder Woman Life Coach" by Source Magazine, Dr. Manning garnered honors as Leading Professional in Life Coaching Discipline by Cambridge Who's Who, Leading Professional by Madison's Who's Who, Veteran Community Leader by the ROTC and Black Archives Museum Honoree for Women in the Military by Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, Tallahassee Woman by All-American Woman Publication, and the Hero in Heels Award from the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
Elected twice National Top Leader by the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Dr. Manning attributes her success to her desire to live her best life, and inspire others to defy the odds. A community activist for the Bond Community Health Center, Inc., she earned the Overcoming the Odds Award from the Exceptional Woman Series at Spelman College, a Community Leader honor from the FCI Tallahassee Women's Federal Prison, the Florida State University Phenomenal Woman Award from the Phenomenal Women's Conference, and the Lady of Leadership Awards from the Black Female Development Circle at Florida State University.
