Admitted to practice by the Mississippi Bar Association, the Arkansas Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Tax Court, and the Supreme Court of the United States, Mr. Barnes has been the president of Barnes Law Firm, PA, since 2007. He previously served as Managing Partner with Barnes, Broom, Dallas & McLeod, PLLC, in Jackson, MS.
The author of "Financial Survival in the 80s" and "Financial Survival After Tax Reform," Mr. Barnes is a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation, member of the Mississippi State Bar Association, where he served in numerous capacities, and the Hinds County Bar Association, where he was secretary/treasurer and president. He is a former president of the Mississippi State University Law Alumni, president elect of his local Kiwanis, and sergeant-at-arms and board of directors of The Downtown Rotary Club.
