A widely regarded trial attorney, Mr. Everett has served as a partner and vice president with Blankingship & Keith since 1990. In this position, he represents clients in a variety of personal injury claims, including wrongful death, brain injuries, victims of violent crime, children who have been victims of sexual assault, automobile and trucking accidents, and product liability. His expertise also includes representing those injured by defective conditions in buildings or real estates, including roadways, balcony railings, and recreational trails. He has testified before Congress on legislation to regulate the security guard industry.
Mr. Everett began his career as a student at the University of Virginia, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in American history in 1975, and a Juris Doctor in 1979. He went on to serve as an associate with the Energy and Environmental Team at Hunton & Williams LLP, where he represented clients in legislative, administrative and judicial proceedings involving the Clean Air Act.

He is credited with co-authoring numerous industry publications, including, "Recognizing the Symptoms of Traumatic Brain Injury and Assisting Medical Professionals in its Evaluation," which was included in the VTLA Journal. Previously, Mr. Everett lectured at an international conference on brain injuries in 2005. In 2008 and 2015, he attended retreats of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, where he spoke on the use of learned treatises in traumatic brain injury cases, and on trial tactics in traumatic brain injury cases.
Outside of his position with Blankingship & Keith, PC, Mr. Everett maintains active involvement with FACETS, an organization that works to end homelessness in Fairfax County, serving as a member of the board of directors from 2010 to 2016. He is a member of the Brain Injury Association of Virginia and the AAJ's Interstate Trucking Litigation Group, for which he has served on the executive committee. He previously served as a member of the executive committee with the Inadequate Security Litigation Group of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America for 10 years, and as a co-chair of the national litigation group for four years.
