Drawing upon more than 40 years of professional experience, Mr. Manchee serves as an attorney with Manchee & Manchee, PC. In this position, he provides legal representation in the areas of estate planning, bankruptcy and consumer litigation, and consumer law. For the past 10 years, Mr. Manchee has primarily focused on post-bankruptcy compliance, which includes documenting and pursuing violations by creditors after a consumer's debts have been discharged in bankruptcy. He takes great pride in ensuring that consumers receive the fresh start guaranteed to them by the bankruptcy code and other federal and state laws. In recognition of his commitment to law, Mr. Manchee was named the recipient of the Distinguished Attorney Award by Martindale-Hubbell in 2016.
Prior to pursuing a career in law, Mr. Manchee aspired to work in politics. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1969. From there, Mr. Manchee chose to attend law school because he believed it would be an effective springboard for a political career. Upon receiving a JD from the Southern Methodist University in 1975, he briefly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. During this time, Mr. Manchee dabbled in politics and found he did not like working in the field. However, he found great enjoyment in the field of law, which led him to switch career paths. Since completing formal education, Mr. Manchee has been admitted to practice in Texas, as well as before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and United States Tax Court.
In addition to maintaining a celebrated career as an attorney, Mr. Manchee is an accomplished author of both fiction and non-fiction works. His non-fiction work Yes, We're Open, Defending the Small Business Under Siege was published not only in the U.S. but also in 6 foreign countries including India and Pakistan, Mr. Manchee's novels include the Stan Turner Mystery series inspired by his own law practice, his financial thrillers included in The Rich Coleman Novels, and science fiction novels of the Tarizon Saga.
Mr. Manchee previously served as the co-chair of the Collin County Republican Party for two years. As he moves forward with his career, he looks forward to serving clients and writing more publications in his fields of practice.
