A lifelong resident of Saint Marys, Mr. Huber earned a Bachelor of Science in education in 1965, and Doctor of Jurisprudence at Ohio Northern University in 1968. Admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Ohio and The Ohio Judicial System, the Supreme Court of the United States, the Northern District of the U.S. District Court of Ohio, the Sixth Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals, and The U.S. Tax Court, he is a trained mediator who has met the requirements for the State of Ohio to conduct mediation in civil litigation and has completed training required for mediation and family disputes concerning divorce, custody and companionship. He has since been appointed to the mediation panel for the Northern District of the U.S. District Court of Ohio.
Mr. Huber formerly served as acting judge for the Municipal Court of Auglaize County from 2005 to 2015, assistant law director for the City of Saint Marys, OH, from 1972 to 1979, and assistant prosecuting attorney for Auglaize County, OH, from 1969 to 1976. He has lectured at the Life Long Learning Institute of The Ohio State University and served as a contributing author to the book "The St. Marys Anthology" in 2013.
Mr. Huber is a member and former president the Auglaize County Bar Association, and member, past president and past director of Saint Marys Jaycees, where he was the recipient of a Presidential Award of Honor in 1971, and member of the Junior Chamber International Senate. He has served as a trustee and is a past president of the Saint Marys Chamber of Commerce and former chairman of the Saint Marys Recreational Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Sons of the American Revolution, Ohio Society of the Sons of the American Revolution Executive Committee, Judge Advocate General for the Ohio Society of the War of 1812, and the General and Ohio Societies of Mayflower Descendants. He served as State Vice President of the Ohio Jaycees in 1971, was a member of the Auglaize County Board of Elections from 1994 to 1997, President of St. Marys National Little League Baseball from 1969 to 1975, Chairperson of the City of St. Marys Civil Service Commission from 1993 to 1995, a member of the City of St. Marys School System Strategic Planning Committee (2006-2012 and 2013-2018, and member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Celina, Ohio, serving as Lay Leader since 2013 and as President of the Administrative Council since 2014.
Mr. Huber authored two books about his family, which were titled "Huber/Jenkins Collections" and "Huber/Jenkins Collections, Volume II," published in 2006 and 2009, respectively. Enthusiastic about genealogy, Mr. Huber has spent time on the board of trustees for the Ohio Geological Society. The organization named him to the First Families of Old Northwest Territories in 2017. He formerly served as president of the Genealogical Society of Auglaise County, OH, from 2004 to 2007, as well.
Married to Linda Sue Nosek since 2005, Mr. Huber has two sons from a previous marriage.
