In this role, she serves as a gynecologist and certified sex counselor. She takes care of women of all ages but specializes in treating women of the transition years treating peri, menopausal and postmenopausal conditions since she is a Certified Menopause Practitioner. She is a referral source and specialist in vulvovaginal conditions and vulvodynia. She recently became certified by AASECT as a Sex Counselor and is only the second medical doctor to achieve this honor. Earlier in her career, she worked in obstetrics and gynecology before changing her practice to focus entirely on gynecology.
Dr. Faye began her career as a student at Temple, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in general science. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1980 and obtaining her medical degree at Temple University Medical School. She enjoyed her Obstetric/Gynecology residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center-Northern Division in Philadelphia. Recently, she received a certificate in Sex Counseling from the University of Michigan and was certified through the rigorous training required by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists.
As a respected voice in the field, Dr Faye is affiliated with numerous professional organizations. She is a member of the International Society of Sexual Women's Health, National Vulvodynia Association, International Society for the Study for Vulvovaginal Diseases, the International Pelvic Pain Society, World Professional Association for Transgender Health, the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association, and North American Menopause Society. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her contributions to medicine, earning a fellowship through the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health.
