With more than 45 years of professional experience, Ms. Handley has served as the president of Harrah Industries, Inc. since 1981. Earlier in her career, she was president of Hot Rocks, Inc., which manufactured asphalt, sand and gravel, from 1983 to 1989, vice president of Microphor, Inc., from 1974 to 1981, and owner and operator of Lovell's Tacks 'n Togs from 1970 to 1973. In addition, she has served as the president of the Frank R. Howard Foundation since 1993. In this role, she leads the nonprofit organization in its mission to create, endorse, and assist programs that serve to better the Willits, CA area with regard to healthcare.
Ms. Handley is active with a number of community organizations. She has been the director of the Northern California Network for Adventist Health, President and Director of the local Rotary International Club, and the director of the Frank R. Memorial Hospital. She is the director of the Seabiscuit Heritage Foundation, and she is involved with the California Small Business Roundtable. She aided the political campaigns of several elected leaders, including Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Rudy Giuliani. She also sits on the Behavioral Health Advisory Board.
Throughout her career, Ms. Handley has been recognized for her contributions. She was named a Notable American Woman in 2000, and she has been featured in Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who of American Women.
