With more than 30 years of industry experience to her credit, Ms. Fabiano has worked as a guitarist, vocalist, composer and artist out of New York City since 1980. During this time, she has performed with many of the high society orchestras based in New York City such as The Lester Lanin Orchestra, Ray Bloch and his Orchestra, Jerry Kravat Entertainment and Peter Duchin and his Orchestra. Also she has served in those same positions with various original bands such as T.M. Stevens and the Pump from 1984 to 1985, plus her own two original bands, "Birdie" from 1983 to 1984 and American Invasion in 1984 to 1985. The touring guitarist for Nellie McKay from 2005 to 2006, Ms. Fabiano worked with Producer/Engineer Don Casale on various original song projects, and also played guitar for Al B. Sure! in 1988.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Fabiano pursued an education at Berklee College of Music, completing a degree in composition and arrangement.
Beyond her efforts within the field, Ms. Fabiano has contributed to numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. In recent years, she has notably performed for the 14th Annual Greater New York Tee Off For Equality Golf Outing and Dinner in 2017 for the Human Rights Campaign, at the Guitar Heroes Exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and also many events for the Metropolitan Opera House in Lincoln Center. She is also the songwriter of "Medicine Man," "Walls in my Room," "My Favorite Song," "If You Can't Say Yes," "Inner Connection" and "Dogen, Connor & Tupelo." Ms. Fabiano contributed to the soundtracks for several films, including "The Post" and "Working Girl" for Twentieth Century Fox, "Jade" for Paramount Pictures, "A.K.A. Doc Pomus" for Clear Lake Historical Productions and "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill" for Pelican Media Productions.
Having performed with Peter Duchin and his Orchestra at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Ms. Fabiano has performed at many theaters across the country including the Paramount Theater in Oakland, CA, the Sacramento Theater, with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra at Music Hall, CN and at the New York Fringe Festival in conjunction with the grand prize winning musical "Urban Momfare." She has also performed on many television programs, including NBC-TV's "The Today Show," ABC-TV's "Good Morning America," ABC-TV's "The Regis and Kathy Lee Show," CBS-TV's "The Morning Show" and ABC-TV's "Loving," among numerous others. Winner of the BMI Songwriter's Showcase in 1984, she has performed at The White House, Queen Elizabeth's Wedding Anniversary at Windsor Castle, the annual New Year's Eve Gala at the Metropolitan Opera, and many anniversary galas for Carnegie Hall including the 100th Anniversary. With performances at the 80th Anniversary of the Jupiter Island Club, Ms. Fabiano has sung the National Anthem for two of the New York Islanders hockey games at the Nassau Coliseum. She has accrued many prolific private performances for clients such as Brooke Shields, Sarah Jessica Parker, the Ford Motor Company, and five U.S. presidents.
In addition to her primary trade, Ms. Fabiano remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She is an active member with the Screen Actors Guild‐American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, Broadcast Music, Inc., The Nature Conservancy, and the National Audubon Society. Additionally, she has maintained involvement with the Long Island Parrot Society, Women in Music, Inc., the National League of American Pen Women, National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Berndt Toast Gang, and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology at Cornell University. Ms. Fabiano is also associated with Local 802 of the American Federation of Musicians.
In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Fabiano has accrued several accolades and honors throughout her impressive career. She has been presented with the Special Achievement Award from the New York State Senate in 1984, and the American Song Festival Award in 1982.
