Dr. Ahmed draws from his previous experiences, which includes clinical work inside laboratories and academic work as a professor. During his career, he excelled in a variety of roles. He was the president of Princeton Economic Research Inc., professor and director of the doctoral program at the Lubin Graduate School of Business at Pace University, professor at Western Kentucky University and visiting fellow at Princeton University. Additionally, Dr. Ahmed took on career-related projects where he was a consultant for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, the Institute for Energy Analysis and Honeywell Corporation.
To share his expertise in his field, Dr. Ahmed authored several professional publications. He wrote "Quantitative Methods for Business" in 1974, "Nuclear Fuel and Energy Policy" in 1979, and "Technology, International Stability and Growth" in 1984. In recognition of his professional excellence, Dr. Ahmed was the recipient of an achievement award from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and a centennial medal and millennium medal from IEEE. When asked of his success, Dr. Ahmed credits his passion for science and the education that has provided him the foundation for his career endeavors. He holds a PhD and a Master of Science from the Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University, a Master of Arts from Osmania University and a Bachelor of Arts from Osmania College. To remain at the top of his field, Dr. Ahmed is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a member of the IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society, where he previously served as president for two years.
