With more than 35 years of professional experience in international law and development economics, Dr. Stillman serves as the senior administrative officer and as a legal advisor with the Asian Development Bank Institute. Prior to obtaining his current roles, he worked with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, United Nations University, the International Energy Agency, and Arthur Robinson & Company. Dr. Stillman began his career as a student at Melbourne University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws. He then traveled to the United States to study at Georgetown University, completing a Master of Laws in international law. While working on Wall Street he earned a PhD from Monash University. Dr. Stillman has been a member of the Victorian Bar, the Bar Association of New York, the Melbourne University Law Review, and the Law Institute of Victoria.
As a respected voice in the legal industry, Dr. Stillman has contributed to books such as NGO Law & Governance, Northeast Asian Regional Security, and Financing Infrastructure in Asia and the Pacific. He also served as producer for "Legal Briefs," and as an actor in "Brenda's Appeal" and "Space Brothers." Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his contributions, earning a Rotary Foundation Peace Scholarship to Georgetown University, as well as a Monbusho Research Fellowship with Aoyama Gakuin University.
