Long before he became known as a leader in the health and wellness industry, Mr. Schnell completed military service with the Alaska National Guard. He went on to attain ranks and positions that were considered to be very prestigious for his age. By the time he was 37 years old, Mr. Schnell was recognized as a full colonel. While completing military service, Mr. Schnell earned an associate's degree in military science through the United States Army Command and General Staff College in 1975. In recognition of his dedication to the Alaska National Guard, Mr. Schnell was named a brigadier general with the state of Alaska in 2007. He also received a Meritorious Service Medal from the National Guard Association of the United States in 2005.
While serving as the chief of staff with the Alaska National Guard, Mr. Schnell completed an associate's degree in business administration through Wayland Baptist University. He briefly served as the director of logistics with the Alaska National Guard before he became the director of support personnel management in 1988. After retiring from military service in 1992, Mr. Schnell joined the state of Alaska as a senior personnel manager. In this position, he was involved in writing personnel policy, as well as handling personnel management for 13,000 employees in 15 state departments. Mr. Schnell later worked as the deputy commissioner and chief of staff with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, where he was responsible for seven divisions and 5,000 personnel. Although he officially retired from state service in 2007, Mr. Schnell continues to pursue independent business endeavors.
Since the turn of the century, Mr. Schnell has maintained an interest in the health and wellness industry. To this end, he founded RTS Enterprises in 1998, which led to the establishment of A-1 Natural Health Products about 12 years ago. These companies provide all natural health products, such as supplements, nutritionals and vitamins, as well as exercise products. In recognition of his business acumen, Mr. Schnell has been featured in a wide range of honors publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry and Who's Who in the World.
