Dr. Park began her career as a student of Seoul National University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Arts, and a PhD in social studies education. She is a member of the Association of Social Education in Korea, the Korean Association for Multicultural Education, and the Korean Society for the Study of Anthropology in Education. In addition, she has served on committees for the National College Scholastic Ability Test, the National Primary or Secondary School Teacher Selection Test, and the National Assessment of Educational Achievement.
As a respected voice in the field, Dr. Park has written numerous articles for professional journals, including Asia Pacific Journal of Education, and Multicultural Studies Education. She has written on such topics as "Attitudes toward Cultural Diversity and Foreign Immigrants of Regional Area, Multiculture & Peace" and "Meaning of the Identity of the Korean People: Focusing on the Voice of Elementary School Children in Seoul, Theory and Research in Citizenship Education."
