LAUREL, MD, April 06, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Joseph Teeters, Ed.D., with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Teeters celebrates many years of experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
With nearly 50 years of professional experience, Dr. Teeters retired in 2003, having been an independent mathematician and consultant since 1998, as well as a consultant associate with Delphi Data from 1989 to 1998. Prior to obtaining these roles, he served as a professor with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire from 1969 to 1988, an assistant professor with Western State College from 1968 to 1969, and a temporary instructor with the University of Northern Colorado from 1965 to 1968. Earlier in his career, he was an assistant professor with Baker University from 1962 to 1965, an instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Stout from 1960 to 1962, and an exploration geologist with the Ohio Oil Company from 1956 to 1957.
Dr. Teeters began his career as a student at the Colorado School of Mines, obtaining a geological engineering degree in 1956, and going on to study at the University of Kansas in 1957. He later attended the University of Northern Colorado, earning a Master of Arts in mathematics in 1960 and a Doctor of Education in 1968. Dr. Teeters is certified as a secondary school teacher in the states of Colorado and Illinois, and he is certified as a hazardous waste professional by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Dr. Teeters initially intended to enter the field of geological engineering, but once he gained more exposure to the world, he found himself taking on a number of jobs, including working as a carpet layer, attending theology school, and teaching at a private high school. It was in his teaching role that he found a passion for education, and he found his military experience useful when dealing with students with disciplinary issues. In his free time, Dr. Teeters enjoys dancing, raising St. Bernards, planning and building full-size windmills, designing birdhouses, and writing poetry, and he is particularly proud of the tessellation artwork he has created.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Dr. Teeters has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
