With more than 25 years of industry experience to her credit, Ms. Higgins has worked as a realtor with Re/Max Dynamic Properties since 2016. Prior to this appointment, she worked as a realtor for Jack White Real Estate from 2013 to 2016, a realtor for Prudential Jack White/Vista Real Estate from 1998 to 2013, chairwoman for the Alaska Democratic Party from 2007 to 2012, substitute teacher for the Anchorage School District in 1996, and on the Anchorage School Board from 1993 to 1996. During her time with the Anchorage School Board, she served as the board secretary from 1994 to 1995, and board treasurer from 1995 to 1996. Additionally, Ms. Higgins was a data technician for Genwest Systems, a hydrologic technician for the U.S. Geological Survey, and the owner of Patti Higgins & Associates Consulting and Web Design.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Higgins pursued an education at the University of Alaska Anchorage, graduating with a Bachelor of Education in 1986. She followed this accomplishment with a certification as a residential specialist.
Beyond her efforts within the field, Ms. Higgins has contributed to numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. The secretary for the Abbott Loop Community Council since 2014 following a term as treasurer from 2005 to 2013, she was a D24 state house candidate with the Alaska Democratic Party in 2012, the state chair of the Alaska Democratic Party from 2007 to 2012, an independent state house candidate from 1998 to 2004, an unpledged delegate for the National Democratic Convention in 2008, and a delegate for the National Democratic Convention in 2000. The former co-chair for both Anchorage Democratic and the Bartlett Democrats Club, Ms. Higgins was the past president for the Alaska Women's Political Caucus, the past president and vice president for the Wendler Parent-Teachers Association, chair for Denali Montessori, and a former board member for Planned Parenthood.
In addition to her primary trade, Ms. Higgins remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. From 1993 to 2012, she was a member of the Alaska Women for Political Action. Ms. Higgins has also been featured in multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Politics, Who's Who in the West and Who's Who of American Women.
