An accomplished listee, Chief Justice Dalianis celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Having been inspired to join the legal profession by an attorney who helped her father resolve a business-related issue, Chief Justice Dalianis earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Northeastern University in 1970 before receiving a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Suffolk University Law School in Boston several years later. She began practicing in 1974 at the law firm of Hamblett, Kerrigan, Latourette and Lopez in Nashua, NH, concentrating in family law and civil litigation. During her historic career, she has been a member of several important groups, including the Supreme Court rules and legislation committees and the Superior Court committees on guardians, marital masters and alternative dispute resolution. She was also a member of the Northern New England judicial education committee and the New Hampshire Judicial Branch dispute resolution committee.
