With 15 years of practiced experience in his field, Dr. Lee serves as an associate professor of marine production management for the Division of Marine Technology at Chonnam National University, where he started as an assistant professor. He also lent his expertise as the head of Department of Marine Production Management and the head of the Institute of Fishing Technology. Earlier in his career, he worked as a research assistant for the Department of Marine Technology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Norway. Over the years, he has also gained valuable experience through Pukyong National University, The Korean Society of Fisheries Technology and The Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences.
Both before and during the course of his career, Dr. Lee has expanded upon his expertise with a bachelor's degree and master's degree in fisheries science from Pukyong National University, as well as a doctorate in marine technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He subsequently served as a postdoctoral fellow in the Institute of Low-Carbon Marine Production Technology through Pukyong National University from 2009 to 2012.
Throughout his career, he has taken part in a number of projects regarding greenhouse gases in Korean fisheries through such institutions as the National Research Foundation of Korea and the National Fisheries Research and Development Institute. He has also found much success as a member of the editorial board of The Korean Society of Ocean and Fisheries Technology and author and co-author of countless articles in peer-reviewed journals. In addition, he has contributed several chapters to books, journals and conference papers.
Dr. Lee proudly served his country in the Republic of Korea Army from 1995 to 1997. In the coming years, he intends to expand upon his research and experience continued growth in his career.
