ANOKA, MN, April 30, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Joseph Field with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Field celebrates many years of experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A widely regarded expert in the legal industry, Mr. Field has been the owner and senior attorney of Field Law, P.A., since 1988. In this position, he assists clients with estate planning, including wills, trusts, healthcare power of attorneys, durable power of attorneys, transfer on death deeds, elder law, probate, trust administration and real estate. With a focus on educating his clients, Mr. Field ensures that his clients are able to make wise choices by knowing all their options.
Mr. Field has always enjoyed solving problems analytically, as evidenced by a couple of chess championships, but he had not originally considered a career in law. He studied at St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota, where he had a roommate who was to become a law student and whose father was a former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice. Originally enrolled as a chemistry major Mr. Field graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Government in 1979. After being encouraged by his roommate and mentors to apply to law school he did and was accepted at the University of Connecticut School of Law, a top 25 law school, where he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1982.
A leader in his community, Mr. Field is active with a number of organizations. He was discussion leader with Bible Study Fellowship and the vice president of the Minnesota Christian Writers Guild. A former hearing examiner with the City of Ramsey Board of Administrative Appeals, he was also a commissioner of the city's Planning Commission and chairman of the city's Charter Commission. He has served as Chairman of the PACT Charter School Board, was Chairman of the Advisory Council for the Salvation Army and as of this release is Chairman of Republican Senate District 35. Mr. Field believes in volunteering with his community as a means of giving back, and he adopted this attitude with his professional career as well.
Mr. Field was born in Texas to a Hispanic mother and unknown father. He left Texas with his mother and two siblings at the age of ten for Minnesota, never to return, as part of a migrant worker caravan. He found himself going down the wrong path during junior high school, missing school regularly. However, in ninth grade, he was the recipient of a government food program which he credits for bringing him back into school, ultimately leading him to four years of perfect attendance and placing third in his graduating class. He also joined the Boy Scouts of America, which he credits for helping to keep him off the streets. On July 31, 2017, Mr. Field, then age 60, appeared on national television after finding his long lost father and seven new siblings.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Joseph Field has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
