A celebrated figure in the health care industry, Dr. Park has been serving as an orthopedic surgeon of the Joint Center at Yes Hospital in Yong-in city since 2018. Prior to this appointment, he was employed as director of the Joint Center at Sarang Plus Hospital in 2015 and 88 Hospital in 2015 to 2018, as well as a professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Kyung Hee University Hospital from 2014 to 2015.
In preparation for his revered career, Dr. Park sought out formal education, obtaining a Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy. He subsequently completed an internship at Chung-Ang University Hospital in 2007 and a residency in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Chung-Ang University Hospital from 2007 to 2011. He has since been certified as a shoulder and elbow specialist by the Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society, in association with the Korean Surgical Skill Study Group in 2015, and he was certified as an orthopaedic surgery specialist by the Korean Orthopaedic Association in 2013.
A respected voice in the medical community, Dr. Park has authored and coauthored numerous articles in professional journals, including "Clinical Outcomes of Semiconstrained Total Elbow Arthroplasty in Patients who were 40 Years of Age or Younger" in the Journal of Bone Joint Surgery of America, "Arthroscopic Knot Removal for Failed SLAP Repair Secondary to Knot-Induced Pain" in the American Journal of Sports Medicine, and "Long-term Outcome of Tuberoplasty for Irreparable Massive Rotator Cuff Tears" in the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery.
Dr. Park maintains affiliation with several professional organizations, including the Korean Orthopaedic Association, the Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society, the Korean Surgical Skill Study Group, the Korean Society of Sports Medicine, and the Korean Fracture Society. Furthermore, in recognition of his exceptional achievements, Dr. Park was the recipient of the Best Poster Award at the 26th SECEC-ESSSE Conference with the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow in 2015.
Attributing his success to his mentor, Professor Yong Girl Rhee, Dr. Park felt compelled to enter his profession due to a longstanding interest in the field of orthopedics. He prides himself on his ability to tend to and heal patients who present with problems regarding their upper and lower extremities, and he is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to society through his research and experience. Married to Seung Jin Moon, Dr. Park has two children, Geo and Jei. In his spare time, he enjoys taking picture, playing golf and collecting figurines.
