Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Dunham held positions with predecessor firms of Cooper & Dunham, LLP, from 1968 to 2008, and was previously an associate of Cooper, Dunham, Dearborn & Henninger from 1961 to 1968.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Dunham first obtained a Bachelor of Arts with high honors and high distinction at Wesleyan University in 1958. He followed this accomplishment by earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Columbia University in 1961. Upon receiving his law degree, Mr. Dunham was admitted to the New York Bar in 1961. He is admitted to practice law before the U.S. District Court of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and Second Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals.
Alongside his professional endeavors, Mr. Dunham previously served as chairman of the Westport Democratic Town Committee in Connecticut from 1965 to 1966, 1967 to 1970, and 1980 to 1986. He was also a member of the Connecticut Democratic State Central Committee from 1978 to 1980, a delegate of the Connecticut Democratic State Convention on several occasions between 1966 and 1998, and a member of the Connecticut Safety Commission from 1977 to 1978.
As an expert in the field of law, Mr. Dunham maintains affiliation with several professional networks, serving as a member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association and Phi Beta Kappa. In recognition of his achievements, Mr. Dunham has been listed in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who in the World.
